with Alexi Boyd from Boyd Office Management Services
Date: 17 January 2017
The Bobbin Head Cycle classic is one of the biggest community events on the local Hornsby calendar.
Also known as the “Bobbo”, the Bobbin Head Cycle Classic includes four scenic rides through Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, Bobbin Head, West Head and Akuna Bay.
The event is not a race but a community bicycle ride for bike enthusiasts and recreational riders. This year we have the 104km, 80km, 57km and 27km rides for all types of cyclists.
Here to tell us more about the Bobbo and how businesses can get involved is Doug Reid; organiser extraordinaire, community leader and super-star volunteer responsible for the coming together of all the teams from Rotary Clubs of Ku-ring-gai, St Ives, Turramurra and Wahroonga.
The event supports many charities including Lifeline, Ku-ring-gai Youth Development Service (KYDS), Bo Children’s Hospital in Sierra Leone, Eagles RAPS youth service in Doonside,
Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women’s Shelter, The Cromehurst Foundation, Rotary projects to support Wheelchairs for Kids… and many others.
